In Dust Collectors, Tiffany Lindsey reimagines vintage lace, doilies, and ornamental textiles—materials once displayed across generations purely for decoration. Though often considered functionless and eventually left to gather dust, these objects fascinate Lindsey for their intricate forms and visual texture.

By collaging them into her abstract paintings, she gives the materials a new context, highlighting their design while questioning their purpose. Still, their role remains decorative—just in a different setting. The title Dust Collectors reflects this subtle shift and playfully critiques the notion that art, too, is often seen as non-functional: something beautiful, preserved, and ultimately destined to gather dust.
